Biography

Dr. Michelle Nwosu is a distinguished pediatric neurologist known for her unwavering commitment to providing exceptional care to young patients with neurological conditions. Her personalized and compassionate approach enhances the well-being of her patients.

Dr. Nwosu began her medical journey at the University of Benin Medical College in Nigeria, earning her medical degree in 1994. This pivotal moment ignited her enduring commitment to the practice of medicine, with a specific focus on pediatric neurology.

Driven by a passion for pediatric neurology, she conducted impactful clinical research at Indiana University, Indiana, and then pursued extensive postgraduate training at the esteemed Medical College of Wisconsin. This training included a Pediatrics residency, a Child Neurology Fellowship, and a Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship thus, shaping her into the accomplished specialist she is today.

In 2014, Dr. Nwosu secured her Texas medical license and embarked on a rewarding career as a dedicated community-based Pediatric Neurologist in the Greater Houston area. Her expertise spans a diverse spectrum of pediatric neurological disorders, including Neurodevelopmental disorders like Developmental Delays, Cerebral Palsy, and Autism; Neuropsychological disorders like ADD/ADHD and Specific Learning Disorders; Movement disorders like Tremors, Tics, and Tourette syndrome; Seizures/Epilepsy, Headaches/Migraines, and Autonomic dysfunction.

Beyond her professional commitments, Dr. Nwosu values the precious moments spent with her family in Fulshear, Texas. She cherishes quality time with her son, indulges in her passion for culinary arts, explores the world of literature, and embarks on exciting adventures worldwide when possible.

  • Expertise: We specialize in diagnosing and treating a wide range of neurological disorders in children and young adults, including developmental delays, cerebral palsy, Autism, Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, Tourette syndrome/tics, epilepsy/seizures, migraines/headaches, neurodevelopmental, neurocognitive, and genetic disorders.

    Strong Clinical Diagnostic Skills and Compassionate Care: Our team, led by a highly skilled Pediatric Neurologist, provides compassionate and personalized care, fostering trust and comfort in the healthcare experience. We have extensive expertise and proficiency in Neurophysiology, Electrophysiology, and Electroencephalography, with up-to-date knowledge of current research and best practices in the field of Pediatric Neurology.

    Ongoing patient follow-up, education, and support. We provide education and support to patients and their families, including information about their condition, available treatments, and strategies for managing symptoms and maintaining overall health. The practice provides ongoing care and support for patients and their families, including regular follow-up visits, monitoring of symptoms and progress, and adjustment of treatment plans as indicated to ensure appropriate continuity of care.

    We provide an inclusive and accessible healthcare environment where all patients, regardless of their background, have the opportunity to receive high-quality neurology services. This includes collaborating with interpreters and culturally sensitive care.

  • Expertise in diagnosing and treating general neurological disorders in children and young adults, including Developmental delays, Cerebral palsy, Autism, Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Dyslexia, Tics/Tourette syndrome, Epilepsy/Seizures, Migraines/Headaches, and Genetic disorders.

  • Strong clinical diagnostic and communication skills and ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

  • Experience in conducting and interpreting various diagnostic tests, including EEG, MRI, and CT scans.

  • Additional experience, expertise, and proficiency, specifically in Neurophysiology, Electrophysiology, and Electroencephalography.
